CSPG Heavy Oil Division
Field Trip 2019
Fantastic day out (come rain or shine) for the CSPG Heavy Oil and Oil Sands Division field trip.
The trip was lead with great skill and knowledge by Jason Lavigne, Michael Webb and Jon Noad. Very interesting, informative and engaging talks about the sedimentology and stratigraphic architecture of Elbow River Valley sediments, with parallels to the McMurray Formation meander belts.
The day progressed with walks around relevant spots of the Weaselhead Flats area in SW Calgary.
