Remote Directional Drilling
Directional supervision and remote steering of horizontal wells executed by experienced directional drillers from a remote location.
Well steering can be coordinated from Chinook’s Operation Space or from Operations room set up in E&P Company’s offices. The remote directional driller can handle multiple rigs at the same time. In addition to wellpath positioning, the service includes:
- Well-planning and borehole trajectory optimization
- Unbiased recommendations for motor selection and settings in the planning phase
- Optimization of borehole trajectory while drilling, using T&D models in real-time
- Run Borehole Cleaning and Hydraulics in real-time to reduce back-reaming and improve ROP
The service can be run in conjunction with Well Delivery Optimization and Drilling Performance Optimization services.
